April is here, stormy weather could be on the horizon, but that doesn’t mean dirty windows are inevitable! If your office building has a lot of windows, frequent upkeep is very necessary. You never know when a client is going to drop in for a cup of coffee or a few quick questions. The Coast Guard’s Semper Paratus (meaning Always Ready) motto is a great thing to keep in mind when it comes to this. Read below for some tips on combatting those dirty windows regularly!
We’ll be breaking down these remedies on situational factors and preferences.
- Short on Time – Vinegar + Water
If you’re in a pinch and need something quick, this method is for you! Most recipes call for one part hot water and one part vinegar, however if you’re averse to the pungency of vinegar I’d opt for more water. Spray on your windows and use a clean towel to wipe. Clean windows in no time!
- A Natural Solution – Lemon + Water
Are clean ingredients a must in your household? Then this quick and natural lemon and water solution is a great method! Mix 1 to 2 tablespoons of lemon juice with 1 quart of water, spray on windows and wipe with a clean towel.
- Scuff Marks? – Baking Soda + Damp Towel
This method, in addition to being composed of common household items, will help with any scuff marks your windows might have! Dampen a clean towel with hot water, wring it out until almost dry, sprinkle baking soda on and wipe on windows. Soak another towel with warm water to wipe off baking soda residue.
